Galvanized steel coils are typically produced through a hot-dip galvanizing process designed to protect steel from corrosion and extend its service life.

The process begins with cold rolled steel coils, which are cleaned and prepared through a degreasing and pickling stage to remove surface impurities. The steel strip is then passed through a molten zinc bath, where a protective zinc coating is applied to both sides of the steel.

After coating, the galvanized steel strip passes through air knives that control the zinc thickness to meet specific coating standards such as Z100, Z180, or Z275. The material is then cooled, treated with surface finishing processes, and recoiled into galvanized steel coils ready for industrial use.

Depending on the application, galvanized steel coils may also undergo additional treatments such as skin-pass rolling, tension leveling, or chemical passivation to improve surface quality and corrosion resistance.
